Prior to retirement, Mr. Pickford was the senior vice president-taxation at BCE & Bell Canada. During his years with BCE, he participated in all of the company’s significant mergers and acquisition transactions, advising on both tax and financial structuring. Prior to his years at BCE, Mr. Pickford was a partner and vice-chairman-tax at KPMG and a member of its management committee. His principal clients included companies in the financial services and real estate development industries. He has served as chairman of the board and continues as a board member at Epilepsy Toronto, a charitable organization dedicated to assisting people of all ages living with epilepsy. He has a B. Comm as well as a chartered accountant designation and was made an F.C.A. in 1989.
